Online Coordination System
OCS
OCS (Online Coordination System) is an add-on module for PDC SCORE that allows coordinators to provide airport slot coordination through a self-service platform.
With OCS, air carriers, airports, and service providers can handle many routine coordination tasks directly through their user accounts. As a result, they no longer need to rely on sending and receiving SSIM messages for day-to-day coordination activities.
Using a standard web browser, air carriers can access slot databases in real time. They can view, add, modify, and delete flights within their own slot portfolios at airports operated by participating coordinators.
In addition, OCS gives airlines access to 112 international airports across 33 countries. Furthermore, the platform supports coordination with 32 slot coordinators, creating a truly global coordination environment.
Why Select Online Coordination System?
OCS is a multi-coordinator, web-based platform that gives airlines direct control over their slot coordination activities through a self-service solution.
In addition, OCS delivers up-to-date slot availability around the clock, allowing airlines to make timely and informed decisions.
Furthermore, airlines can access OCS 24/7 from any internet-enabled device. As a result, they can manage, update, and coordinate their slots quickly and efficiently whenever operational needs arise.
“The system enables our teams to manage complex coordination processes efficiently, allow customers to self help through OCS and gain access timely, accurate information.”

What are the overall benefits of online coordination system (OCS)?
OCS is a powerful, web-based self-service portal that global users rely on to coordinate airport arrival and departure slots. It provides a centralised, real-time platform that enables airlines and business aviation operators to manage their schedules with maximum precision and minimal administrative overhead.
Built-in compliance tools ensure that all transactions follow international IATA Worldwide Airport Slot Guidelines (WASG) and local regulatory frameworks.
The system remains available 24/7, allowing global carriers to secure slots across different time zones without operational delays.
Airline's benefits of using OCS
Airlines can manage schedules across multiple airports at the same time, view slot availability, and submit slot requests with immediate on-screen responses.
This process reduces time consumption and increases efficiency compared to sending email messages to the coordinator and waiting for replies. It also improves security.
Users can generate new flight requests directly from slot availability views. The request form pre-populates airport, season, and slot time details, while users complete the remaining flight information.
Users with the relevant permissions can access slot monitoring data published by the coordinator. This allows airlines to track the utilisation of historic slots and overall performance throughout the season.
In addition, users can download schedule data in various formats and generate calculated reports, such as the number of slots held.
Airlines can also track waitlisted slots and filter searches to display only flights that lack allocation at the required time.
Some coordinators also enable submission of historic slot requests for future seasons.
OCS reduces the need to work with the IATA SSIM Chapter 6 message format. Instead, the system guides users through structured data fields already aligned with the required format. When required information is missing, the system prompts users to complete the relevant fields before continuing.
Users with WebConnect access can use their own slot systems to communicate directly with OCS for slot requests.
If issues arise that users cannot resolve themselves—such as the absence of alternative slot offers—they can use the “Ask Us” function. This sends the request directly to the relevant coordinator for resolution.
Users can also add SI text to requests when needed to include additional important information.
Airport's benefits of using OCS
Users with read-only access can view and download schedule data. This can support staff planning across different areas of the airport. In some cases, it also helps improve passenger services, such as retail, catering, and rest areas.
Teams can also use the data to assess how effectively they utilise passenger terminals and aircraft parking resources.
For airport teams providing out-of-hours support when the coordinator is unavailable, users can add, change, or delete slots on an ad hoc basis. This keeps schedule data accurate and up to date at all times.
When an airport and the coordinator’s database connect through a direct link (“dynamic update”), OCS updates the airport’s own database immediately after any changes, with minimal delay.
Coordinator's benefits of providing OCS
Allowing airlines and general or business aviation operators to update schedule data and view slot availability helps coordinators manage their workload more efficiently.
Coordinators can display on-screen notifications about service outages, and all users see these messages after logging in.
The system reduces the number of requests that require manual handling. These requests often contain syntax errors, format errors, or broken capacity constraints. Users can correct these issues directly in OCS. When capacity breaches occur, OCS generates alternative offers automatically. Users can then accept, pend, or decline these offers without coordinator intervention.
Coordinators can also configure the system to warn users immediately about potential issues with historic slot utilisation.
Other aviation stakeholder's benefits of OCS
Users with permissions can access schedule data whenever they need it, without asking or waiting for the coordinator to provide it.
Teams frequently use the data for staff planning and to ensure the expected level of service for airport users. For example, they can adjust the number of border control agents at specific times of day to improve passenger flow and reduce waiting times.
Handling agents can also download schedule data to plan their services more effectively.
