Employee Portal for Healthcare Staff

MyPlan is a best of breed, web based Staff Portal connected to StaffPlan. It can be accessed on Pc’s, Tablets and Smartphones and works as the Employee’s entrance to StaffPlan.

Employee Involvement

MyPlan makes it easy to involve Employees in the Working Schedule and give them influence on the final Working Plan. From a Pc or a Smartphone, Employees can submit wishes for duties and off duty hours. In an already published Plan, they can give away shifts or exchange shifts with each other. However, a Central Planner must accept such transactions, before they are valid.

Today, most people prefer to be online ”24/7”. We like to be able to check our calenders and work schedules in any given situation – either at work or at leisure.

A mobile phone is easy to have close at hand, so with MyPlan you can immediately see whether you have to work or you have time off. If you are scheduled to work a day that does not fit with
your leisure plans, you have the opportunity to try to get rid of your shift, without having to wait for the next time you see your colleagues.

Always Up-to-date

The communication between planner and staff is much easier and smooth via internet and mobile phones. The roster is available at all times and when changes are made, they are communicated to the staff right away.

These benefits are nice and useful for the permanent staff – but even more useful for those who work on hourly basis. The temps are working on more unpredictable summon conditions, but with MyPlan the temp will have his roster and Time Sheet Totals right at hand, and everybody can feel sure that the data is up-to-date.

No more Print-outs

Once the planning phase has ceased the roster must be communicated to the staff, and in many places this is done with print-outs on paper.

However, a printed plan is soon outdated, because changes typically occur regularly. These changes must be communicated to the staff too, and the planner must be sure that all personnel has received the changed roster and that the obsolete version is cancelled.

With MyPlan the employee always has an updated plan right at hand. Also he has an overview of hours, vacation and time off (his Time Sheet Totals), which is always up-to-date.

Easy Registration

In addition, Employees can register hours, see future and past Working Plans and Time Sheet Totals (Statements of i.e. additional hours earned, settled time off, vacation etc.). Finally, it is possible for the individual Employee to chat with Colleagues or the Planner through MyPlan or SMS, and the Planner can send messages to a group of Employees.

When two employees can exchange shifts themselves, the amount of administrative work is reduced and the risk of errors minimized. But it is always the planning officer’s decision whether the swap will take place or not.
